The epidemic of the coronavirus Сovid-19 in Italy not only practically closed the whole country, but also led to massive riots in prisons.
While Iran freed about 70,000 prisoners from prisons, as the death toll from coronavirus in the country reached 237, Italy cannot cope with the unrest in prisons for the same reason.
About 50 prisoners have already fled from prisons (20 prisoners from Foggia) in the southern region of Puglia. In just a day, riots broke out in 27 prisons throughout Italy. As a result of an escape attempt from Modena prison, six people were killed.
As a result, the Italian authorities were forced to withdraw the Army and tanks to the streets of Palermo. By the way, the head of the General Staff of the Italian Armed Forces became infected with the coronavirus.
The prisoners were outraged by the ban on visits (now they are forced to communicate with relatives only by phone) and the lack of preventive measures against infection in prisons, and because of this, it all started.
