Germany, like most countries in the world, today is not in the best situation. Many have already begun to get used to new life circumstances. Someone is sitting at home and looking for something to do. Others remain at their jobs during this time.
In Russia, the majority of the population remains at home. Many have the opportunity to stay with their family.
But life goes on and so that there are products on our tables further, some industries need working hands, which have been sorely lacking recently.
Germany felt the crisis caused by the virus, and the Government was forced to take innovative decisions.
In Germany, today there are many asylum seekers who are in limbo, awaiting a decision on recognition of refugee status, and they do not have a work permit. Someone is waiting for deportation, which at the moment cannot be carried out.
So, the government received an appeal to lift the ban on the employment of asylum seekers. (Why would they just sit idle when you can use them as labor). Thus, they can compensate for staff shortages in a wide range of industries caused by an outbreak of coronavirus.
A proposal has been put forward to temporarily provide refugees and persons with a delay from deportation with the opportunity to work in the harvest or in the delivery sector.
Indeed, at the end of March, the German Ministry of Internal Affairs banned seasonal workers from entering the country.
And now the government is forced to take new measures to attract labor.
In April and May, Germany will allow up to 40 thousand seasonal migrants to enter the country each month in order to avoid a shortage of fruits and vegetables and an increase in their prices.
Migrants can cross the German border only as part of organized groups.
Over the course of two weeks, “virtual quarantine” will be provided for migrants - people will work and live in small groups, as isolated as possible from each other, and will not be able to go beyond the enterprise.
This is the situation now not only in Germany, because most European countries today need more than ever additional workforce.
