The Government of Singapore decided to extend the quarantine until 2020/06/01. This was announced on the air of the national television channel by the Prime Minister of the country.
During the quarantine period, Singaporeans are still required to observe all safety precautions. According to the Prime Minister, of course, the local population will be unhappy with the extension of the quarantine, but the authorities hope for understanding and recall that restrictive measures are temporary.
Note that quarantine throughout the country was introduced on 2020/07/04. In Singapore, enterprises, parks, fitness clubs, educational institutions and tourist facilities also do not work. Restaurants and cafes work with food delivery or takeaway.
As of April 22, 2020, 9 125 cases of coronavirus infection were officially registered in Singapore.
