According to representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt, tourists will be required to fill out a special “Traveler Declaration” before flying to Egypt.
It must indicate where the person was for 14 days before traveling to Egypt, confirm that over the past two weeks he had no symptoms of coronavirus infection and did not contact patients. Also, the tourist will have to promise that if symptoms occur, they will immediately notify the hotel or medical staff.
This form tourists will present at the airports - before departure and upon arrival. To enter Egypt, they will need insurance that will cover possible treatment for the COVID-19 virus.
Tourists who will fly from countries recognized by WHO as unsafe regarding the spread of coronavirus will be required to present the result of the test, which was done no more than 48 hours before the trip.
Note that Egypt is open to foreign guests from 07/01/2020. However, the country's guests will be able to choose only one of three areas: South Sinai, resorts on the Red Sea or Mersa Matruh.
