According to the popular local newspaper Petra, the Jordanian authorities have decided to start accepting flights from abroad as early as 09/08/2020.
First of all, the planes will arrive at the Amman airport. Despite the fact that the opening of Jordan's borders to air travel has been postponed several times over the past month, the decision has now been finalized, says Minister of Information Amjad al-Adail.
Foreign guests who will enter the country will have to present a negative PCR test result, and one more will need to be done upon arrival in Jordan, after which they should go to quarantine for 1-2 weeks (the period in quarantine will depend on the epidemiological situation in the country from which tourists come).
It is worth noting that the situation with COVID-19 in Jordan is one of the most favorable in the Arab world: since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, 2,161 cases of infection have been officially registered in the country, 15 people have died, 1,610 have recovered safely.
