According to Gündem Kibris, the Turkish authorities have introduced a mandatory mask regime throughout the country. Violators of this rule will be fined.
The decision was made by the Ministry of Health, together with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, due to an increase in cases of coronavirus infection and non-compliance with social distance.
Locals and tourists are now required to wear protective masks in public places, on public transport, and at work. They are allowed to be removed only at home.
In addition, it is no longer possible to stand on public transport, and cafes, bars and restaurants are open only until midnight.
