WHO (World Health Organization) Representative David Nabarro shared his opinion that Europe is facing the third wave of COVID-19 in 2021.
According to the official, European countries have failed to prevent a second wave of the pandemic after taking control of the first.
Nabarro noted that "they did not take the opportunity to create all the necessary infrastructure in the summer ... now they have a second wave of coronavirus. If they do not build all the necessary infrastructure now, then the third wave of COVID-19 will begin in early 2021."
At the same time, the official advised European countries not to introduce lockdowns, for which they have to pay a "very high price".
We remind you that recently researchers compared the impact of the first and second wave of lockdowns on the environment. The conclusion is that the autumn quarantine did not greatly affect the climate improvement, since the capacities of many countries continue to function in the same mode.
