The Japanese authorities have decided to limit the number of people entering the country from abroad to 2,000 people per day.
Such a limit will make it possible to contain the spread of new types of COVID-19 and, in turn, strengthen the effectiveness of existing quarantine measures. The restriction will affect both foreigners and the Japanese themselves, who return from abroad. This decision of the country's leadership has already been brought to the attention of such airlines as Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways.
We remind you that at the end of 2020, approximately 4,000 people entered Japan every day. However, since 28.12.2020, the authorities have stopped issuing new visas due to the appearance of the British strain of COVID-19. To date, only its citizens and some categories of foreigners can get to Japan, while it will be necessary to do 2 PCR tests and pass a 2-week isolation.
