UN experts have published a new rating — the "World Happiness Report". In this list, residents of different countries evaluate their level of happiness according to several criteria.
The compilers of this rating took into account GDP per capita, the level of social support of citizens, life expectancy, the level of respect for the rights and freedoms of citizens, etc. The study involved citizens of 149 countries.
As it turned out, the happiest country on the planet - Finland (leading in this rating for the fourth year in a row) - it was ahead of other countries by a large margin. The factors of happiness that the residents of Finland noted include proximity and unity with nature, the safety of citizens, and the availability of various services and services.
The five happiest countries in the world also included Iceland, Denmark, Switzerland and the Netherlands. And in the TOP 10, UN experts also included Sweden, Germany, Norway, New Zealand and Austria.
Russia is in the 60th place in this rating (which is 13 points higher than a year earlier). Ukraine was placed on the 110th place, next to it were Iraq and Algeria. The outsiders of this rating were Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Rwanda .
